Mark your calendars for the 7th Annual Japanese Cultural Festival, a vibrant celebration of Japan’s rich heritage, arts, and flavors. Hosted at the iconic French School, this year’s festival promises an unforgettable day of wa (harmony) for all ages. Festival Highlights: 🎶 Cultural Performances: Thunderous taiko drumming by Kampala’s Kaminari Group. Graceful tea ceremonies led by Kyoto-trained masters. Aikido & Kendo demonstrations by Uganda’s Japan-Uganda Martial Arts Association. 🍣 Culinary Delights: Freshly rolled sushi and sashimi by Yujo Izakaya. Sizzling takoyaki (octopus balls) and matcha latte stations. Sweet wagashi (traditional confections) and mochi-pounding workshops. 🎎 Interactive Experiences: Anime & Cosplay Corner: Pose with life-sized Ghibli characters or join a Naruto trivia contest.
